Number bibs、Timing System & Method:

  1. Each of the athletes of Marathon, Half Marathon and Mini Marathon will be provided a number bib and chip.
  2. The number bib and chip have to be worn properly during the competition.
  3. Number bib has to be pinned on the front and back properly so as to let the Race Inspector to record and perform judgment during the race.
  4. ChampionChip is the timing system used for the race, it provides Personal Times (Chip Time/Net Time) and Official Time (Gun Time) for each athletes. Results will be based on the Official Time in accordance with IAAF Standards.
  5. Should the athletes not wear the numbered bibs and chips, the athletes will be disqualified and no certificate or manual record will be provided.
  6. On any condition, number bib and chip cannot be exchanged with or transferred to other athletes; or else, the athletes will be disqualified and no certificate or manual record will be provided.
  7. Athletes can choose to use their own chips or chips provided by the Organizer. Chip which is provided by the Organizer, athletes have to pay a deposit (MOP/HK$100) and it will be refunded after the race. Differences due to exchange rates between currencies will not be considered
  8. The chip should keep in good condition. If there’s any damage caused by the user, the deposit will not be returned.

 

Time Limit, Certification and Medal:

  1. Each races have the following time limit:

  2. Courses of each race will be closed according to the above mentioned time limit. Athletes who cannot complete the courses within the time limit have to follow the instruction of the Organizers, and cannot enter to the stadium to cross the finished line.
  3. Athletes who finished the race within the time limit shall be awarded a medal. For the certificate athlete can get it by download through to the following website: www.marathon-photos.com .
  4. Athletes should collect medal and trophy on the race day. Awarded athletes who haven’t collect the trophy on the race day, should contact the Organizer one week after the race for the collection, and should pick up during one month after the race; otherwise, it will be considered as renunciation of collection.
  5. If there’s any information of the Athletes which is not correct on the certificate, they have to contact the Organizer no later than 16/12/2008 for alteration. Request after that day will not be accepted.
  6. Athletes should well keep their certificate and prevent any loss or damages as request on re-issuing the certificate is not accepted.
  7. No medal will be given to the athletes, and certificate will not be available at the designated website, for those athletes who cannot complete the courses within the time limit mentioned above.

 

Precaution and Rules:

  1. Athletes should fully follow the instruction of the Organizer. The Organizer will provide the best precaution to ensure the safety of the athletes. If any natural disasters or accidents happen, Organizer will try their best to provide support but will not be responsible for any accidents during the competition.
  2. All athletes are recommended to do full practice or training and understand their body & health condition before register for the race. If athletes feel sick during the race, they should inform the Organizer at once. Organizer will try their best to arrange for any necessary support but will not be responsible for any accident during the competition.
  3. For safety purpose, all spectators, relatives of the athletes and non-organizer are not allowed to enter the course.

 

Doping Control:

Marathon Half Marathon Mini Marathon
The first 3 male and first female Marathon finishers plus 2 to be chosen at random from the first 10 male and female Marathon finishers. Not applicable Not applicable

 

Appeals:

  1. According to the rules & regulations, any appeals have to be reported to the “Technical and Appeal Council” within 30 minutes after the race by filling an appeal form and should return the form within 45 minutes after the races. Appeal fee of MOP$500 or US$65 should be pay together with the appeal form. Appeal Committee only accepts the appeal application based on the mentioned procedure; should the appeal is accepted, the appeal fee will be refunded.
  2. Any other complaint, comment or appeal not fulfilling in point A should be reported to "Referee Team" instead.

 

Information to the Athletes:
All the information provided to the athletes by the Organisers of the race will be considered as part of this regulation in all circumstances.

 

Omission cases:
All the omission cases will be resolved by the Organising Committee.

All omitted cases will be settled by the Organizer, and in case of doubt, the Organizing Committee reserves the right of making the final decision on the issue in question.
